Description:The English for Academic Purposes (ESL) program – in partnership with the School of Business – offers the Business Administration Pathway for international students.

The Pathway allows you to begin getting credit for a business credential while you improve your English.

Upon successful completion of the two-semester Pathway Program, students earn 15 credits towards their business credential.

Admission Requirements

These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.

    Applicants are required to have high school graduation and Principles of Math 11 (C) or Foundations of Math 11 (C) or Applications of Math 12 (B) or Apprenticeship & Workplace Mathematics 12 (B) or BTEC 115 (B-).

    Application Notes : Capilano English Language Requirement for students whose primary language is not English or have received education in a language other than English: Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): paper=560, internet=83, or English Language Assessment (ELA)=145, or International English Language Testing System (Academic IELTS)=6.5 overall, and no one score less than 6, or Canadian Academic English Language Assessment (CAEL)=70, or Pearson Test of English (PTE Academic)=56 or Capilano University EAP 100 and 101 with a minimum B+ grade in each course.
    Additional Admission Requirements:

      Current Grade 12 students can be conditionally accepted based on final Grade 11 grades or interim Grade 12 grades. Students can upload proof of grades (e.g. unofficial transcripts, copies of report cards) through EducationPlannerBC when applying to Capilano University. Final acceptance will be based on high school graduation and having met the program specific requirements.
