Develop your Sechelt language skills while learning more about the history and culture of the Sechelt (shíshálh) Nation. 7ewkw’chalap kwetl’ tiwsham she shashishalhem! In this certificate program, you'll take introductory language courses as well as literature and other electives relevant to Sechelt linguistics and culture. You'll study at our Sunshine Coast campus and be taught by CapU instructors and Sechelt community members. Help increase fluency and keep the Sechelt language alive. The course is taught from a Sechelt perspective and is aimed at current and future Sechelt language teachers. |

High School Requirements Current high school students Grade 12 students can apply for conditional admission based on their final Grade 11 and/or interim Grade 12 marks by uploading their most recent grades (e.g., unofficial transcript or a report card) through EducationPlannerBC. Final admission depends on high school graduation and meeting the specific requirements of the program. Note: Applicants from B.C high schools must release their grades to CapU via the BC Ministry of Education at Student Transcripts Services (STS) as soon as possible. |
