Graduates from this program are trained to work in a variety of animal care settings under the supervision of a Veterinarian. They are trained to help with physical assessments, collect samples and perform laboratory tests, prepare animals and operating rooms for surgery, monitor anesthesia during surgeries, administer vaccines and medications, provide post-operative care, and maintain a high standard of cleanliness and maintenance. Administrative tasks include filling veterinary prescriptions, maintaining inventories of animal care supplies, scheduling operating rooms, preparing invoices, and maintaining records. |
