Did you leave high school prior to graduating? Did you graduate high school, but need to improve your marks in order to apply to post-secondary?

Southeast College provides programs at various locations throughout its region to help adults achieve their Adult 10 and 12.

Adult 10

Adult 10 includes five courses in: Communications, Social Sciences, Life/Work Studies, Mathematics and Science. These courses are designed for people that want to build on their current knowledge and skills. Learners who successfully complete Adult 10 often go on to further education, training or employment opportunities.

Adult 12

Adult 12 gives students the opportunity to obtain their Adult 12 standing recognized by the Ministry of Education, upgrade marks or grain prerequisites for further education in an adult focused learning environment. There are seven required subject areas including: English, Canadian Studies, Mathematics, Science and 30-level electives. Learners who complete Adult 12 successfully go on to further education, training or employment opportunities.

Financial Support

Southeast College’s full time Adult Education students may qualify for assistance through the Provincial Training Allowance. More information on the Provincial Training Allowance can be found at Provincial Training Allowance Information

Important Application Information

All students interested in attending Adult Education classes at Southeast College must complete and submit an application form. The form can be found here: Adult Education 10-12 Application (pdf). Applications are also available at your local Southeast College campus locations.

Students must complete an intake interview and assessment with a Southeast College Student Advisor prior to acceptance into the program. Students will be contacted by an advisor to schedule an appointment once your application has been received and reviewed.
