Career Description

Loan officers examine, evaluate and process credit and loan applications.

Duties May Include

Loan officers perform some or all of the following duties:

Interview loan applicants and research/evaluate their financial status, references, credit, and ability to repay a loan

Complete credit/loan documentation and approve or reject applications within authorization limits; may forward applications to management with approval or rejection recommendations

Promote the sale of credit/loan services

Review and update loan files, prepare statements on delinquent accounts, and forward for collection
