LCUR is committed to retaining the personal atmosphere, individual attention, and sense of community that only a small university can offer. Incoming Students

Luther offers a number of unique learning communities for first year students. The communities are designed to assist students with the transition form high school to university. Each learning community has a maximum enrolment of 36 to 40 students. The students take a common set of courses, which share a common theme and are sometimes team taught by professors.

Career Planning

Luther College offers quality academic advising with a personal touch. Luther College students can also access all career counselling services offered through the University of Regina.

Sports

Luther College students can participate in all University of Regina sports programs including inter-varsity teams and campus recreation teams. See listing for the University of Regina or consult the school's Web site.

Activities

The Luther University Students' Association (LUSA) organizes social and recreational events such as dances, trips to hockey and football games, laser tag, and bowling throughout the year. All Luther students and residents are members of LUSA. University of Regina student groups organize other activities as well.

Clubs

Luther students and residents can participate in any College or University of Regina club and society. Examples of current campus organizations include the Religious Studies Group, the Debate Society, the Rowing Club, and a campus Amnesty International Chapter.

Cultural

The Luther College Bach Choir performs work from the Baroque period. The choir practices weekly under the direction of the College's music director and gives two or three concerts per year. The choir is open to all members of the Luther community.

Special Services

Luther College is wheelchair accessible, has an elevator, and has the full service of the University of Regina Disabilities Resource Office, including text readers, computer translator systems, and a non-fluorescent lighted workroom.

International Involvement
