Areas of Expertise

On Campus Housing

Full-time students at the Nunatta, Kivalliq, and Kitikmeot Campuses may apply for Nunavut Arctic College housing at any time. Out-of-town students are given priority for available housing. If you need housing, you should apply at the same time that you submit your application to a Nunavut Arctic College program. Housing can be confirmed only after you are accepted into a College program. You can print a housing application from the NAC forms page. It is available in PDF and GIF formats. You may also have to submit references with your housing application. Check with your campus residence manager if you're unsure.

Incoming Students

The week before registration (Nunatta Campus) or one of the first weeks of your studies (Kivalliq Campus) is designated Student Success Week. All students are expected to participate in the activities because it's the best way to get a good start at the College. The orientation week is organized into workshops on student concerns, study skills, and campus organization. There will also be scheduled social activities to help you get to know the campus and community, and to introduce you to your instructors and other students.

Clubs

Student politics are exciting and always rewarding. Student Association (S.A.) representatives are responsible for social activities, some publications, coordination of events, fundraising for graduation ceremonies, and liaison between students and the College administration. The Nunatta, Kivalliq, and Kitikmeot Campus Student Associations consist of a President, Vice-President, Secretary-Treasurer, and elected members from each program. All representatives are elected for one year.

Other

Nunavut Arctic College provides a range of services to help students live comfortably during their studies and to have a little fun too!
