The Niagara-on-the-Lake Culinary School was founded on the philosophy that the birthplace of Niagara regional cuisine and the home of the burgeoning Niagara wine industry are an ideal environment to prepare students for a career in the luxury hotel and restaurant industry. The School capitalizes on the resources provided by the area to offer a program founded on the principles of practical training, professional instructors, unparalleled opportunities, and 'eduployment' (a paid practicum). The Niagara-on-the-Lake Culinary School is a registered private vocational school with the Ontario Ministry of Training and Education. It is a privately owned and operated joint venture between GBC and Associates, Andres Wines, and Vintage Inns.

Areas of Expertise

The School offers a range of programs designed to prepare students for a variety of careers in the food service industry. In addition to the principal program of the school, the Culinary program, students can also pursue a part-time hotel and restaurant, recreational, or management and development program. The common element among all of our programs is a focus on the principles of practical training, professional instruction, unparalleled opportunities, and 'eduployment.'

Off Campus Housing

The school offers an accommodation registry that places students in local bed and breakfast facilities. Availability is on a first-come-first-serve basis, and is limited to the months of November through mid-May. Rentals begin at $400.00 per month.

Career Planning

The Niagara-on-the-Lake Culinary School offers its students internships with the following partner properties throughout the province including Vintage Inns (Niagara-on-the-Lake), Hillebrand Estates Winery (Niagara-on-the-Lake), Peller Estates Winery (Niagara-on-the-Lake), Rosewood Bistro (Mississauga), Oliver Bonacini Group (Toronto), and Aqua Restaurant (Toronto).
