Notes for Canadian Students

Diploma and advanced diploma students are automatically considered for entrance scholarships on their application for admission. Students should also consult the section in the for more scholarship listings and application guidelines. The Marine Institute scholarship program is made up of internally and externally administered scholarships. There are normally two scholarship presentations in an academic year; one in November and the other in March. The application deadline dates for the current academic year appear in the list of important dates printed at the front of the calendar. Students must apply for scholarships each term. One application form covers all scholarships Marine Institute Committee on Scholarships. Students may be required to submit additional application forms to be considered for externally administered scholarships. For financial assistance, Canadian students may apply at Canlearn. Applicants from Newfoundland and Labrador may apply at the Department of Advanced Education and Skills website.
