Requirements for Canadian Students

It is suggested that all the applicants for our programs should be over 15 years of age, have successfully completed at least junior high school locally or in their home country, and be planning to study at a North American university or college.

Requirements for International Students

It is suggested that all the applicants for our programs should be over 15 years of age, have successfully completed at least junior high school locally or in their home country, and be planning to study at a North American university or college. Oversea students can be granted up to a maximum of 24 equivalent credits by the School Principal or Guidance Department based on their academic achievements in their home countries.

Procedure for Canadian Students

1. Fill in an application form, office index card, and student I. D. form. 2. Provide transcripts and/or record of prerequisites for selected courses. 3. Provide three photos taken within the past six months. 4. Pay fees in full. 5. Note dates of semester (both beginning and ending dates) and obtain an appropriate timetable. 6. Purchase texts as recommended by the subject teacher.

Procedure for International Students

1. Fill out an international student application form. 2. Provide overseas transcripts and report cards to indicate the prerequisites for the registration level. 3. Pay the registration fee. 4. The first letter of acceptance and tuition payment request will be issued and sent to the applicant for passport application and tuition payment transfer. 5. Fax the tuition payment transfer receipt to our school. 6. The second letter of acceptance and official receipt will be issued to the applicant for visa application. 7. When the student visa is granted, inform the school of the applicant's homestay request two weeks before arrival and arrange the arrival date and flight number for airport pickup at least one week ahead.

Notes:MIA operates on a tri-semester system, which enables our students to register all year round. The semesters start in September, January, and April. In addition, to accommodate the special needs of certain students who wish to take additional courses, McDonald also offers the Summer School program, which starts in the beginning of July and ends in mid August.
