All applicants must be at least 16 years of age. Students must present proof of Medical Insurance coverage on their first day at VISA Language Institute. Upon request VISA Language Institute can arrange to provide you with a comprehensive, affordable medical insurance plan. You can register 24 hours per day via our Internet Registration Form located at www.visalanguage.com/registrationform_visa.htm, through one of our Authorized Agency Partners worldwide, via e-mail at info@visalanguage.com or via fax at (613) 567-5831. We recommended that you register at least six weeks before your course start date as it may take approximately four weeks to obtain your visa. When we receive your completed registration form and deposit payment, an Invoice and Letter of Student Acceptance will be issued. This letter must be presented to the Canadian Embassy if you require a visa. Students studying for less than 3 months do not require a Student Authorization visa. An optional Airport Pick-Up service is available for $CAD 65.00. Students will be met at the airport by a staff member or Host Family and driven directly to your Homestay home. On your first day at VISA Language Institute, you will complete your registration, take a proficiency level test to determine your language skill level and to set your course goals, and receive a welcome orientation. You will also receive a VISA Language Institute Student Kit which will inform you of our full range of services, hours of operation, as well as information about Ottawa, buses, banking, local attractions and much more.
