Description:

Microbiology incorporates all types of microorganisms, including bacteria, fungi, algae, viruses and protozoa. As well as breadth, you will have the depth of specialist modules dedicated to the sub-disciplines of virology and parasitology. Graduates may go on to address those real-world issues by finding new microbial sources of energy to combat global warming, or applying knowledge of virology to further combat HIV/AIDs. At the beginning of your degree you will cover the fundamental concepts alongside students from biological and life sciences.
