|Description:||The Bachelor of Applied Information Systems Technology is a four-year degree. Students who have already earned an IT-related diploma gain advanced knowledge of emerging technologies, plus sound leadership, project management and strategic planning skills with this applied degree. Students can choose two major/course streams depending on their area of specialization. The two major streams are Information Systems and Network Management. Information Systems focuses on leading-edge technologies used in the analysis, design and implementation of sophisticated e-commerce and other IT systems. Network Management involves planning, installing and managing computer networks and internetworks in a wide range of industries. A paid eight-month work experience term is an important component of both majors. Graduates will find career opportunities geared to their major area of study in positions such as programmer, systems analyst, website developer, security, and computer engineer.
