The GRB Pre-Employment Welding program is a course designed for individuals who are interested in pursuing an apprenticeship in welding but lack the necessary manual skills required to secure employment. This accredited course will teach them the manual welding skills and first year theory as required by the Alberta Apprenticeship Board.
Upon completion of the course, students with good marks and attendance will be permitted to challenge the first year welder apprenticeship examinations. Those who successfully pass these examinations will be granted credit for first period of formal instruction only (not including work experience – 10 months) subject to approval of the employer when entering into a contract of apprenticeship. |
