Our MSc Management course comprises six compulsory modules that delve into essential areas including finance, strategy, decision making, entrepreneurship, and operations. This module equips future managers with the quantitative tools to help them make rational decisions under uncertain conditions. The module develops students ability to apply statistical techniques to a wide range of business and management problems in a structured way. Students will gain an appreciation of the appropriateness of different techniques in a given situation. The module develops the students understanding of the tools and their application with use of software packages and SPSS.
This module aims to develop students knowledge and understanding of the concepts, tools and methodologies of operations management. Students will develop critical and analytical insights into current operations management practices, explore the priorities and techniques of operations management and employ these to the design, operation and control of business processes.
This module provides students with a means of developing further the skills and knowledge gained on MSc Management, by application to a specific organisational issue or problem. It enables students to demonstrate proficiency in the design of a business enhancement project, application of appropriate methods of investigation, management of the change process, and maintenance of vision in the face of the vicissitudes of business realities.
The aim of this module is to develop an understanding of the major issues in corporate finance. In particular it develops the student’s ability to analyse corporate finance issues; apply finance theories to deal with practical issues in corporate finance; and investigate emerging issues and contemporary trends in the field.
This module will inform students of the key developments in, and thinking from, the study of strategy and leadership. The module aims to explore the models, tools and theories used in strategy and leadership and critically appraise where and when such models, tools and theories are effective. The central aim of the module is to achieve a balance between theory and practice and to use strategy and leadership tools to address the complexity and uncertainty facing organisations.
This Module will equip students with an overview of emerging technological trends and how organizations can exploit technologies for competitive advantage. The complexities of technologies, the systems and how these have changed the way organization function will be analysed to elicit the value added.

This module aims to present the international nature of business supply chains and how companies work in a global marketplace. Students develop a critical understanding of the theories and practices of how companies grow and manage their global supply chains. The module enhances students understanding of business competitiveness in global marketplaces. Students will be taught the underlying theories that will enable them to evaluate the choices given by organizations and how these are linked to the management of these international networks.
This module introduces students from a variety of backgrounds and with different career ambitions to the project management techniques and how they are used across a range of sectors to realise strategic corporate objectives. In particular, the module aims to: - offer a comprehensive account of project management, programme management and project portfolios, based on a combination of scholarly work and professional practice - develop students understanding of strategic project management and systems design processes - outline and develop skills in professional techniques used in project closure and evaluation - introduce and evaluate critical success factors for projects.

Teaching
You'll be taught by an experienced teaching team with a wide range of expertise and professional experience.
You'll attend lectures, including talks by guest speakers, as well as seminars and workshops, some of which will focus on research methods.

Part-time study
You can also study this course part-time.
You will be studying at our leafy north London campus in Hendon.
You'll be assessed through a combination of exams plus individual and group coursework. One of the key elements of coursework will be your dissertation project.
We have a strong support network online and on campus to help you develop your academic skills. Our Sheppard Library is open 24 hours a day during term time and always available online. We offer one-to-one and group sessions to develop your learning skills together with academic support from our library, IT teams and learning experts.

Qualifications

English language
You'll need good English language skills to study with us. That's usually an IELTS 6.0 qualification (with a minimum of 5.5 in all sections). And, if you need help, we offer an intensive pre-sessional English course.

To study with us in the UK, you will need a student route visa.
Part-time study
International applicants can apply for a Student Route Visa (formerly tier 4) for part-time postgraduate study (courses leading to a qualification at RQF level 7 or SCQF level 11 and above).
Student route visa students studying part-time are subject to certain restrictions:
- No work (paid or unpaid)
- No work placements as part of the programme
- No dependents
- No extending under Student route visa in the UK. This includes Student route visa applications to work as a Students' Union Sabbatical Officer or for the Foundation Programme for postgraduate doctors and dentists
- Not eligible for the Student route visa Doctorate Extension Scheme.
*Please note that, if the course of your choice involves work experience, unpaid work, placements or internships, we will be unable to sponsor you to study a part-time course under the Student route (formerly tier 4) visa.
