As a recreation professional, you could find yourself planning special events or organizing activities and programs for all age groups at community recreation associations and facilities. Your training will include organizing community events, participating in hands-on workshops, and the potential to earn  various certifications in career-related areas.

Dual Diploma Option!
Canadore graduates of this program are eligible to complete the Recreation Therapy or Strength and Sport Conditioning program in one year. 

Study Abroad: Study in Ireland at the Technological University of the Shannon, Midlands and Midwest as part of an exchange or graduate pathway

OSSD or equivalent, ENG4C or ENG4U

If English is not your first language you must provide proof of English competency.

Students may have the opportunity to obtain numerous industry certifications outside of the classroom such as: High Five, Inclusive Recreation Coach and National Coaching Certification.

Learning outcomes represent culminating demonstrations of learning and achievement. In addition, learning outcomes are interrelated and cannot be viewed in isolation of one another. As such, they should be viewed as a comprehensive whole. They describe performances that demonstrate that significant integrated learning by graduates of the program has been achieved.
