Physiology (M.Sc.)

Program Description

The Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Physiology (Thesis) offered by the Department of Physiology in the Faculty of Medicine & Health Sciences is a research-intensive program that emphasizes rigorous and engaging learning opportunities. The program's objective is to equip students with skills in critical thinking, research design, and academic writing to either continue their studies or pursue professional opportunities.

  • Accepted students are funded by a stipend coming from their supervisor's research grant;
  • Thesis work is available in a broad range of disciplines from molecular and cellular to systems physiology covering multiple organ systems;
  • Faculty members laboratories are equipped with state-of-the-art equipment for next-generation sequencing, genome-modification, CRISPR-based gene editing, dense neurophysiological recording, high-throughput screening and in vivo two photon imaging.

University-Level Admission Requirements

  • An eligible Bachelor's degree with a minimum 3.0 GPA out of a possible 4.0 GPA
  • English-language proficiency
