“ Dr. Nadine de Moras, a professor, leader and educator, taught me to get out of my comfort zone. By applying myself and taking advantage of opportunities in the French program, I have grown significantly during my time at Brescia. ”

“I have been both academically and personally successful because of the smaller nature of the campus and the classes. I was able to get more individualized attention and help from my professors. I truly felt like my professors valued me and wanted me to succeed. The personal connection at Brescia was especially helpful in my fourth year as my professors were able to write me personalized reference letters… so I can attain my goal of becoming a high school Family Studies and French teacher.”

“The professors in the French for Teaching program are amazing and very supportive! Because I came from a CORE French background, I felt very insecure about my pronunciation in French; however, they were understanding as they recognize the difficulties of learning a second language.”

“I was first attracted to Brescia University for the extraordinary French for Teaching program. Although I decided to switch to an Honours Specialization in French, Brescia’s unique major in French for Teaching provides guaranteed admission to the Faculty of Education at Western University and a unique agreement with Glendon University. Even though it’s no longer my major, I am able to continue taking Brescia’s unique courses related to teaching that include practicums volunteering in French classrooms at the elementary, high school and university levels.”
