Cell Biology (M.Sc.)

Program Description

The Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Cell Biology (Thesis) offered by the Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology in the Faculty of Medicine & Health Sciences is a research-intensive program that emphasizes research-driven and stimulating learning opportunities. The program's objective is to equip students with skills in literature review, critical thinking, and the presentation of complex ideas to either continue their studies or pursue professional opportunities.

Unique Program Features

  • The Department has one of the largest and best-equipped electron microscope facilities in the world. There are currently four modern electron microscopes which include a Tecnai F20 and a Titan Krios;
  • The Department has a Harmonized Funding Policy to ensure that every graduate student in the Faculty will be paid adequately (e.g., guaranteed minimum funding package).

  • An eligible Bachelor's degree with a minimum 3.0 GPA out of a possible 4.0 GPA
  • English-language proficiency
