Physics

Faculty: Faculty of Science, Applied Science, and Engineering
Degree(s): Bachelor of Science
Campus: Saint John

Physics is a disciplined way to reach objective conclusions about how nature works.

Find answers

It is about finding out what is real. And then, armed with this new knowledge, predicting the future.

Physics provides an opportunity for us to set aside our emotions, our beliefs, our preconceived notions, and our prejudices.

In return, we can find answers to our questions and learn something meaningful about how things work in the universe.

Careful intuition

We need this organized approach because humans are easily fooled. We would like to think that that is not true, but it is.

Arriving at a conclusion, however, is not at all a strictly ridged mechanical process. A great amount of careful thought, inspiration, and leaps of intuition are needed.

What you'll learn

At the University of New Brunswick in Saint John, we offer first-year courses on the theoretical foundation of physics as well as the experimental proof of critical parts.

Non-science majors can choose courses in astronomy or space studies, where you'll learn how the human species explores and exploits the cosmos.
