Your Two-Year Journey
After working closely with expert faculty, you will put your new knowledge and skills to work at field placements in hospitals, clinics, schools, and community-based settings.
First-Year Experience
- study the critical reasoning and contemporary theory essential to occupational therapy practice
- begin practice engagements in several areas, including mental health and therapeutics
- examine motor performance and fundamental skills across the human lifespan
- learn about the neuroscience foundations of therapy
- embark on your first apprenticeship and field practice
Second-Year Experience
- concentrate on challenges involving children and adolescents
- learn about cognitive and visual challenges facing patients of all ages
- examine advanced management concepts for occupational therapy practices
- create patient treatment programs that span months and years
- engage in actual practice in real-world environments and state-of-the-art labs
- explore the wide range of occupational therapy careers
