Outcomes

Students in this program will:

  • develop advanced skills in devising and facilitation of Applied Theatre workshops and performances
  • connect with local communities, and design material that addresses their concerns and challenges
  • engage with theoretical concepts in the field, and develop a critical lens at examining Applied Theatre initiatives locally and globally

Program specific requirements

As part of your application, you must submit:

  • a statement of purpose highlighting your interests and aspirations in the field (including any special areas of interest) and how they relate to the program specifics
  • a detailed resumé of your educational background, theatre experience and teaching experience (if applicable)
  • a writing sample that speaks to your academic excellence
  • two reference names from theatre professors and/or recognized theatre professionals and their email addresses

Extensive study in the field of applied theatre or an allied discipline is required. You must also have the intellectual, creative and practical skills necessary to succeed in a postgraduate degree level program.
