Announcing the first major conference on international higher education and the Gulf Region since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic. “International Higher Education is vital to the modern world and the pandemic disrupted its beneficial impact,” explains Anjum Malik, managing partner for the Alhambra US-Chamber. “The Gulf Higher Education Summit brings together leading academics and other influencers to discuss how international higher education can not only move forward but build itself back better.” The summit keynote speakers are H.E. Amr Salama, Secretary General of the Arab Association of Universities, Jamil Salmi, expert in global tertiary education, and H.E.Zulfiquar Ghadiyali, Global Ambassador. Topics of discussion led by international thought leaders focus on the Gulf Region, its students, and the role of international education in regional development policy. “Higher education globally is going through challenging times, however it is also a golden opportunity to embrace new modalities, adapt business models, widen access, develop new partnerships, and focus on high quality innovative teaching and learning”, says Cameron Mirza, (IREX) Chief of Party for USAID Pre Service Teacher Education, a key moderator at the summit.
