On Campus Housing

Our Simcoe Village and South Village residences provide accommodations for 1,360 students. If you're a first-year student, you're guaranteed a spot in residence if you apply by June 1 and accept our offer of admission.

All residences feature 24-hour security; controlled building access; furnished lounges; a games room, meeting room and common study areas; individually-controlled air conditioning/heating; light housekeeping every two weeks; a movie lounge with a large-screen TV and theatre-style seating; on-site laundry, additional kitchen facilities and storage space; on-site management; and TV, cable, phone and high-speed internet access. At Ontario Tech University, emphasis is given to building a learning community that is supportive of student success in all its facets: intellectually; emotionally; socially; and physically. We offer a variety of activities to meet the diverse needs of our student population and our combination of modern facilities and student-centred services foster student success.

Career Planning

Our Career Centre is your source for information on full-time, part-time, and summer employment opportunities both on and off campus. Career advisors will teach you to search online employment ads, help with resumé writing and interview skills, and prepare you for recruiting interviews. Activities

If you want to challenge your body as well as your mind, we offer plenty of opportunities on campus to stay active and physically fit. Our Campus Recreation and Wellness Centre includes five gymnasiums, an elevated indoor walking/jogging track and the FLEX, a 10,000-square-foot fitness centre featuring top-of-the-line cardio and weight machines. Information Technology

Ontario Tech University will provide learning and teaching for the 21st century. Each student benefits from the use of a personal laptop computer and our fully networked campus. When you lease your personal laptop from the university, you get more than just a connection to faculty, students, online learning resources, and course material. You get software, training, computer support and service, and insurance. The leasing program ensures you have the latest in hardware and software specific to your program, giving you a real advantage in your professional development.
