The Great Lakes College of Toronto is a private international school preparing students for entrance into Canadian and American universities. Established in 1978, the school has developed expertise in providing university preparation courses and English language training for overseas students. GLCT registered with the Ontario Ministry of Education, the College offers courses at the Grades 9, 10, 11, 12, and university preparation courses levels, as well as full-time ESL programs. It offers all the courses required for university admission including Calculus, Algebra and Geometry, Finite Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Economics, Accounting, English, Geography, Computer Science, Social Sciences, Business, and Visual Arts.
All credit courses of the College are inspected and approved by the Ontario Ministry of Education, and all teaching staff are fully qualified and certified by the Ontario Ministry of Education and Training.
The short term English Study Residence program is a part of the total educational package and provides intensive in class English as a second language training during the week and cultural or travel activities within southern Ontario on the weekends. Held in the Bowmanville Campus, this program is offered in one or more four week modules. The training is personalized, thereby permitting students to progress at their own rate. Educational credits, leading to the provincial Ontario Secondary School Diploma, may be earned.
