Laurier has 17 residence buildings on the Waterloo campus and six residence buildings on the Brantford campus. In Waterloo, residences are either dormitory-style or apartment-style and in Brantford, residences are all apartment-style. Residence is guaranteed for first-year students who submit their application and deposit by the deadline. Off Campus Housing

Students looking to live off campus can view rental listings at places4students.com, an off-campus housing website that specializes in providing students, schools and landlords with a quality rental property listing service.

Sports

Gym, tennis courts, playing fields, and swimming pool facilities are available on campus.

Information Technology

Seven rooms with 165 microcomputers (two rooms open 24 hours) and four rooms with 67 terminals (two rooms open 24 hours). Each residence has a small terminal room with at least two terminals and one hardcopy terminal. There are more than 100 machines in specialized labs for chemistry, geography, physics and computing, and the School of Business & Economics. All registered students can have an account on the UNIX mainframe and/or the microcomputer network at no charge and there is no usage limit tied to courses. All accounts have e-mail and Internet access. Computer training is free. Library catalogues are available online and the centralized CD-ROM server is accessible from all systems.

Cultural

Maureen Forrester Recital Hall and Robert Langen Gallery. Services: Faculty of Music public concerts, visiting art exhibits, WLU permanent art collection, Woldemar Neufeld art collection, Laurier lectures, University Players theatre productions, Festival Laurier, and various clubs and societies offering social and cultural activities.

Special Services

The Special Needs Office provides a wide range of services to students with disabilities to help integrate these students into the Laurier community. This office also provides information about Laurier's accessible and non-threatening environment to other campus users with disabilities.

International Involvement

Our M.B.A. students have the opportunity to gain international experience in an optional two week international elective, which allows an 'on site' experience in the European Economic Community, some of Canada's USMCA partners, or with the Pacific Rim countries. WLU also has an International Student Advisor and an International Students Association.

In addition, Laurier maintains consortium agreements with Ontario/Baden Wurttemberg, Ontario/Rhine/Alps, Multi-Regional International Business Program, Atlantic Destinies-Canada/European Union Program for Co-operation in Higher Education and Training, and Canada/France exchange to teach English in a French Lycee. Laurier also maintains bi-lateral agreements with institutions in Austria, Australia, France, Germany, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan, and the United Kingdom.

Other

An M.B.A. Career Advisor is available on-campus to arrange job find, resume, interview, workshops, etc. for M.B.A. students. The advisor also helps M.B.A. students decide on career paths and researches employment opportunities for them.
