Toronto Film College was created to meet the demands of students who wish to learn about and work in the film and television industries. Our goal is to produce students capable of working effectively on film projects and students who are also aware of the artistry that is involved in creating films and videos.
The work behind, as well as in front of the camera, is the focus of our college. TFC gives students intensive hands-on instruction in the film and television industries incorporating theory, history, and practical instruction. Our graduates are thoughtful, innovative, and hardworking individuals with the working knowledge necessary to succeed in the film and television industry.
Toronto is a great place to begin your journey into a career in film and television. The city is often recognized as "Hollywood North" because so many productions, both big and small, are shot in the city and its surroundings. Major producers and celebrities are constantly in Toronto working with local talent and crews.
The classrooms at TFC are equipped with up-to-date cameras, projectors, and computers, enabling students to learn, practice and master industry standard skills and techniques.
Students have access to a wide array of film festivals and events in and around Toronto. We keep a posting and students arrange groups to participate in specific events.
