The Toronto Academy of Acting is recognized as Private Career College that specializes in Film Acting Diploma Program and Film &Television Production Diploma Program. Both of the programs are created to provide the necessary “hands on” techniques that give students the skills they truly need to succeed in front or behind the camera in the film and television industry.
Through the guidance of various working industry professionals, including award winning film and television directors, actors, screenwriters, directors of photography and editors, the Academy has created unique cost effective and time efficient hands-on four month full time programs for future generations of winning actors, directors and production leaders.
Essentials for Acting Program is designed by a team of working industry professionals as a hands-on training for students to learn and apply professional techniques of acting for the camera. Film & Television Production Program is designed as a revolutionary quick guide to the foundations of film and television acting, directing, screenwriting, cinematography, editing and vision mixing. Through intensive creative Film & Television training all students will be prepared to react fast in real professional situations and to deliver their projects in the most creative ways. At the end of the Program each student will come out with a professional Reel and the opportunity for internships at production and television broadcasting companies through the Academy.
The Academy does offer assistance in finding housing for our out of town students. These homes have been pre-screened by the Academy.
Many students who graduate from our full time film acting diploma program who are ready for representation are placed with top talent agents in Toronto. Many opportunities come to our students to
work o film & television sets to gain experience as extras right after training .
Students who train in the full time film making and television production program are placed in internship for many non union production companies to apply their skills.
The Academy has many independent film makers from all across Canada who contact our Academy because of the training our students receive in order to audition them for their film projects.
