School closed as of September 2009. Founded in 1986 by former IBM technical staff members in Toronto, Yorkville College provides students a sound educational experience and practical background in preparation for employment in their chosen field of study. Formerly the Prime Tech Institute, Yorkville College of Professional Studies is registered in Ontario with the Ministry of Training, Colleges, and Universities. The College is situated right in the heart of Yorkville, one of Toronto's most prominent districts. In the heart of the city, this career college is readily accessed by public transit and plenty of parking is available in nearby lots.

Areas of Expertise

Yorkville College is committed to 'hands on' learning. Students of Toronto learn not only through study, but also by actually doing project work that is employment related. The College provides training in Dental Hygiene, Dental Chairside Assistance, Paralegal, Community and Social Services, Early Childhood Assistance, Professional Counselling, 3D Animation for Video Games, and Computer Networking (CompTIA A+, CompTIA Server+, CompTIA Linux+, Cisco Certified Network Associate, Panduit Authorized Installer, Cisco Firewall Specialist CompTIA Security+, MCP, and MCSE).

Career Planning

The Career Service Department can help students find employment for up to 24 weeks after graduation. Our services include providing information on current career market trends, guiding graduates in the employment search process, cover letter and resume preparation, presentation and interview techniques, marketing graduates individualized skills to employers, and co-op and internship placement assistance.

Information Technology

We have got a 3D Animation Lab and Computer Networking Lab, student area and library pieces, some classrooms, as well totaling to about 100 pieces.
