The Gulf Islands Film & Television School is more than a school - we are a film, video & animation production hub. Located on beautiful Galiano Island in British Columbia, we offer intensive live-in programs throughout the year for youth and adults. Under the close mentorship of award-winning media professionals, our students are immersed in all aspects of the production process. Every student comes away from the program with a well-rounded set of creative skills and an original video to add to their portfolio. Our mission is to give students the means to fulfill their vision and talent, then sit back and watch as they astound us.

A variety of courses organized by age groups and genre, which are available in weekend-, week- and month-long sessions.

Accommodations are classic Gulf Islandesque: rustic, cozy, shared hostel-style rooms. Students live and work at the school in weekend, one-week, or month-long sessions. Prices vary depending on the length of student's chosen program.

Mentors are assigned to a team of students and work with them for the duration of their project.

Students have the access to all the necessary film equipment at costs which the Gulf Island Film and Television School tries to keep as low as possible.
