DescriptionThis second degree program provides course work and practicum experience designed to produce a well-qualified elementary school teacher. The program has been designed as a co-ordinated, sequenced balance of course work and integrated school observational and practica experiences. In addition to school visits, there is a five-week practicum at the end of the first year and an eight-week practicum in the final term.The program is designed to be taken over four terms.Students are eligible for a BC teaching certificate and the Bachelor of Education (BEd) degree upon successful completion of this program.

This program is for degree holders who want to incorporate Indigenous ways of knowing, learning and teaching into their practice. After four terms and two practicum experiences in schools, you’ll graduate with a Bachelor of Education degree and be eligible to apply for a BC teaching certificate. Indigenous students are given priority registration.
