Description | If you enjoy working with numbers and are passionate about problem-solving, our Accounting and Finance degree could equip you for a successful career in financial services. Our Accounting courses have been ranked 1st for Students Satisfied with Teaching in the Guardian League Tables 2018. Led by knowledgeable academics with a wealth of experience in this field, we’ll teach you about the economic environment and explain the fundamentals of financial services. As well as becoming familiar with accounting software, you’ll learn how to communicate with specialist and non-specialist audiences effectively. You’ll study management accounting, gaining experience in producing financial reports and interpreting data. You’ll learn about personal and business taxation, and get to grips with modern accounting software.
We encourage students to undertake a work placement year to develop employability skills, gain invaluable practical experience and position you favourably for graduate roles. Our close links with many high-profile businesses mean we can help you secure your work placement. nIn your final year, you’ll cover problem solving and analysis in complex business contexts.
