Description | Uncover and examine our past in order to understand our present and future. Our History degree offers two pathways that will challenge your preconceptions of the modern world and how it was formed.
The ‘Modern History’ pathway gives you an up-to-date and stimulating understanding of modern world history including aspects of British, Irish, European, American, South Asian and wider-world history. From empires to revolution, you’ll investigate themes from the Enlightenment to industrialisation and nationalism, fascism and the Holocaust. If you are engaged by current and international events, the ‘Modern and International’ pathway lets you analyse contemporary issues from the post-9/11 transformation of the world, to conflict in the Middle East, to the economic, political and social impacts of globalisation. | | |
