Description | Our LLB (Hons) Law (Criminology) is a qualifying law degree that is recognised by both the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) and the Bar Standards Board (BSB).
This course covers a distinctive knowledge base relating to criminology, the study of crime, deviance and the criminal justice system. If you’re hoping to become a solicitor or barrister specialising in criminal law, this is the ideal course for you. Criminology draws upon knowledge and perspectives from a range of disciplines, such as law, sociology, psychology and history. Following on from the foundations of legal knowledge (the subjects required for qualifying law degree-status), you will study Criminal Law as well as the core ‘pathway’ module of Urban Criminological Concepts, which introduces contemporary issues relevant to the field and is also unique to this course. | | |
