DescriptionBrescia’s Criminal Justice program is designed for students interested in pursuing careers related to policing, corrections, courts, law, and policy. Students learn about different elements of the criminal justice system, problems impacting crime victims, factors predisposing people to criminality, concerns with surveillance and security, and strategies used to prevent crime. Our students are taught by encouraging professors and, through our service-learning courses, work with our criminal justice community partners to gain valuable hands-on experience.

Criminal Justice students participate actively inside and outside their classrooms through: Hands-on, service-learning opportunities working with local organizations connected to the field of criminal justice; firsthand research on a variety of different topics from stigma and immigration to gender and policing; international exchange programs at universities such as The University of the West Indies, Cave Hill, in Barbados and Stenden University in The Netherlands; and the Social Focus Club, a student-run group that provides opportunities to explore social justice initiatives at Brescia and in the London community.

Note for 2024: Brescia University will merge into Western University, beginning in May, 2024. Read more about the strategic integration on the Brescia website.
