DescriptionDesigned for individuals with formal culinary education credentials, the Advanced Baking and Pastry Arts graduate certificate program is two semesters of lab-intensive learning that equips students with a range of additional skills that prepare them for a broader range of employment opportunities. In-school training is provided in the state-of-the-art W. Galen Weston Centre for Food (CFF) through demonstrations, lectures, hands-on practice in labs and culinary and pastry facilities, with an emphasis on using locally grown ingredients as part of the CFF’s field-to-fork philosophy. Learning is generally concentrated over a set number of days each week, allowing you time to continue or pursue employment when not in the lab.
