Description | Increasing concern about human impact on the environment offers exciting challenges to the environmental scientist. From issues of global concern such as climate change, to local problems such as water quality and contaminated land, the need for environmental scientists has never been greater. We will increasingly need more science-based approaches to understand the interactions and relationships between components of the Earth’s systems and the impact of human activity. This degree gives you a thorough grounding in emerging environmental problems and issues and trains you to investigate them and create solutions to protect and manage the environment. You will develop expertise in Geographical Information Systems and remote sensing using the latest industry standard technology.
