DescriptionBiotechnology is the application of biological knowledge and techniques to address society’s problems. It is arguably the most rapidly developing area of science and its uses are only limited by human imagination. Primarily based upon an understanding of genetics, microbiology and attendant laboratory techniques its applications spread well beyond these two disciplines, incorporating medicine, agriculture, food science, pollution control and environmental management. As such, a Biotechnology degree will equip you for a wide range of industrial employment as well as provide a basis for any biology related post.
