Description | An understanding of human health is incomplete without an understanding of health within the global context. A complex web of relationships and interactions produce themes of global health that can be seen as emergent properties of the human experience.
Understanding and addressing global health issues effectively demands an interdisciplinary academic experience. The curriculum in global health in the Bachelor of Health Sciences (Honours) Program draws on the expertise present within the Faculty of Health Sciences and collaborates with McMaster?s Institute on Globalization and the Human Condition to provide students with opportunities for exposure to diverse perspectives on globalization in many fields in the social sciences and humanities as well, including anthropology, philosophy, political science, economics, among many others. | | |
