Description | Biochemistry lies “in-between” chemistry and biology, seeking to understand the molecular basis of life and is one of the most important and research-active scientific disciplines today. Study the molecular structure and potential uses of nucleic acids, proteins (including enzymes), lipids, carbohydrates — learn how they work and what happens when they don’t. Redeemer will prepare you to make significant contributions to the field while also giving you a solid foundation to grapple with many of the ethical and philosophical questions that emerge from new developments in this rapidly changing field. Biochemistry, and science in general, plays an important role in modern society, and the world is in need of well-trained Christians who are competent scientists, but also thoughtful about the implications of their work. | | |
