Description | Our B.Sc. (Hons) in Industrial Mathematics offers a more engineering focused programme of study than our other options. This programme has been designed with the assistance of our colleagues in the School of Engineering and aims to marry the mathematical content to applications within engineering.
To achieve this end you will be given the opportunity to study engineering topics such as Signal Processing and Control Engineering as well as the Mathematics content such as Modelling, Statistics and Operational Research. Similar to the B.Sc. (Hons) in Mathematics the programme starts by reinforcing the mathematical foundations you will have studied at previous levels and gradually introduces more advanced and specialised content areas. In second and subsequent years there is a strong focus on Mathematical & Statistical Modelling, Operational Research, Statistical Cybermetrics and Engineering Applications.
