| Description | This BSc (Hons) Mathematics degree aims to provide a fundamental education in mathematics, including pure and applied mathematics. There will be opportunities for students to develop high-level mathematical and problem-solving skills and to apply these in a variety of contexts. Students will also have the chance to work alongside fellow undergraduates and academic staff on projects.
This program meets the educational requirements of the Chartered Mathematician designation, awarded by the Institute of Mathematics and its Applications, when it is followed by subsequent training and experience in employment to obtain equivalent competences to those specified by the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) for taught master's degrees. | | |
