Description | In this certificate program, you will learn the basic skills of a Millwright. You will learn how to install, maintain, repair and troubleshoot industrial and plant equipment. Along with learning the theoretical and practical knowledge of the trade, you will learn related subjects including Math and Trade Science, Welding, Electricity, Blueprint Reading and Effective Communications/Computer skills.
Applicants are advised that physical fitness and average strength are required, as lifting and moving is part of this occupation. Students are required to wear safety glasses, protective footwear and hard hats for workshop activity. Soft material shoes are not acceptable. Credit may be earned for apprenticeship in-school training. This program is also offered on a part-time basis. | | |
