DescriptionAre you excited by working in an organization, building a business, or helping a not-for-profit organization? Supported by strong faculty, this program provides innovative business training that prepares you for a wide variety of careers, while continuing to recognize the needs of the Nova Scotia business community. You are introduced to a broad spectrum of business issues and subjects, learning how business and organizations work, reviewing business basics, including communications, accounting, marketing, and computer applications, and using industry-leading technologies. You're exposed to a variety of career options to help you determine your pathway and develop the skills you need to work in a range of careers, including accounting, finance, management, marketing, international business, information management, entrepreneurship, and more.

There are a variety of topics for you to explore: business law and ethics, accounting, taxation and payroll, marketing research and consumer behaviour, finance and investments, international business, entrepreneurship and new venture creation, and communications and information management. You look at business and organizations from an operational and managerial perspective, and can choose from a wide range of courses which enable you to maintain a broad course of study, or specialize in one specific discipline.
