| Description | With the widespread availability of data, statistics can now be applied across a growing range of industries. As well as supporting innovation in science, engineering and economics, it aids organisational decision-making. This is through modelling and predicting outcomes - from community health to the length of shop queues. This has led to increased demand for qualified statisticians.
You will develop a strong foundation in advanced mathematical and statistical methods. You will apply these to real world problems including industrial quality control and finance.You will also study statistical analysis and how it can support organisational decision-making.
Students who do a work placement are more likely to graduate with a better degree and get higher quality work on graduation. So as well as helping hone your professional skills, industry knowledge and network, a placement will make you highly employable on graduation. | | |
