Description | As the world's resources become scarce, there is a growing need for buildings that are environmentally responsible. This, in turn, calls for design professionals who are more than 'just' architects or 'just' engineers. It calls for designers with the creative and analytical skills of both architecture and engineering. It is these designers who can achieve design excellence while at the same time pursuing imaginative strategies for the efficient use of resources.
This award-winning course is unique. As a joint degree it enables you to work towards professional status in both engineering and architecture. You will learn about architecture, passive design, environmental physics, environmental systems in buildings and the effective use of energy and materials. This rare mix of knowledge and skills leaves graduates well placed to take their part in this expanding sector of design.
