| Description | Social Policy entails the study of the social relations and systems that maintain and promote human wellbeing. It addresses the provision of shelter, the promotion of health and the avoidance of discrimination. Social Policy requires an understanding of the processes through which social policies are articulated within society and the theoretical and ideological environment within which these policies are formulated.
