Description | Taught by our team of leading academics, the MGeog Physical Geography integrated Masters course will provide you with an in-depth understanding of specialist topics such as geohazards, glacier and snow dynamics, palaeoecology, sea-level studies, environmental geochemistry (including isotope geochemistry), GIS, remote sensing and environmental modelling. You will have the opportunity to undertake fieldwork at every level, in addition to placements that will allow you to develop your skills and apply your knowledge in a real working environment.
In first year you have the option to study a broad based Geography, studying both human and physical aspects of the world in which we live, or you can choose to concentrate solely on the physical sciences, including aspects of earth science, landscape surveying and resource management. You continue to tailor your learning through a range of option modules and through the personal selection of geographical topics of your choice for your undergraduate dissertation and your integrated masters research project. | | |
