DescriptionYou want to be a roofer. You want to learn how to prepare and apply protective coverings to flat and sloped roof surfaces on all types of buildings.

You already know how to follow construction plans and specifications, and you’re familiar with most types of roofing, including steep and flat roofing. But you want to learn more, like how to apply a variety of substances and systems such as elastomeric or thermos plastic roof membranes. You may also need more experience using different building materials, like asphalt and wood shingles, concrete tiles or PVC membranes. At NAIT, where we have been offering the Roofer apprenticeship program since the mid-1970s, we’re here to teach you everything you need to know theoretical foundation for roofing, trade mathematics, correct use and interpretation of shop drawings, blueprints, and building codes
