DescriptionEnvironmental horticulture enhances our environment both aesthetically and ecologically. This program looks at leading edge technology to help sustainably develop our homes and communities through green infrastructure. Students will develop skills to identify, promote, design and build green systems that provide essential environmental services. This is a hot topic in both cities and rural settings, as community leaders seek new ways to connect their citizens to the spaces around them.

In the Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Environmental Horticulture, you’ll gain an in-depth understanding of environmental issues and how ecological systems are influenced by both natural and man-made disturbances. You will collaborate with other students and industry professionals to develop strategies for mitigating impacts and solving problems with horticultural solutions. You will gain a solid foundation in science and theory, giving you the opportunity to explore practical horticultural applications in a program truly like no other.
